If you have seafood in stock and some of your favorite cereals, such as bulgur, you can prepare a simple but very appetizing dish. Delicate shrimps, mussels and squid pieces are cooked together with bulgur in one dish, enriched with flavors and aromas. The result is a crumbly porridge with a delicate nutty flavor and juicy seafood - the perfect combination. Simple, tasty and fast - be sure to take note of the recipe.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare foods according to the list. Seafood (my seafood cocktail consists of shrimp, mussels and pieces of squid) get out of the freezer in advance and defrost.
  2. You will also need 250 ml of hot water for cooking.
  3. Heat some vegetable oil in a deep frying pan, put seafood in it and heat for a minute over medium heat.
  4. Add bulgur to the pan.
  5. Add salt and ground pepper.
  6. Peel the garlic, crush and send to the pan.
  7. To make the cooking process go faster, and the seafood does not turn into "rubber", pour hot water (250 ml) into the pan. Cover the pan with a lid, bring everything to a boil.
  8. Cook bulgur and seafood for 7-10 minutes over low heat. Then turn off the fire and leave the bulgur under the lid for 15 minutes. You can additionally wrap the pan with a large towel to keep it warm longer.
  9. Bulgur with seafood, in a pan, ready. When serving, you can sprinkle the dish with any herbs.
  10. This is just a great and nutritious option for a full lunch or dinner, just add fresh vegetables or a light salad.
  11. Bon Appetit!
