Greek Shrimp Salad

A traditional Greek salad made with fresh vegetables, olives, lettuce and feta cheese can be made even more festive and delicious. To do this, add shrimps to the salad. This version of the salad looks much more appetizing and brighter on the festive table.

  1. Prepare all ingredients. You can use any available lettuce leaves, I used iceberg and lettuce. Wash and dry vegetables and lettuce leaves.
  2. I have cooked frozen shrimps. I put them in boiling water for 30 seconds. If you have raw shrimp, cook them in boiling water for 1.5-2 minutes.
  3. Cool shrimp completely and peel.
  4. Tear the lettuce leaves with your hands and place on a flat plate or dish in which you will serve the salad on the table.
  5. Free the bell pepper from the stalk and seeds. Cut the cucumbers and bell peppers into small slices. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Cut the red onion into thin half rings.
  6. Spread the prepared vegetables on top of the lettuce leaves.
  7. Cut the feta cheese into cubes.
  8. Top vegetables with olives, peeled shrimp tails and feta cheese.
  9. For dressing, combine olive oil, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt and pepper mixture in a deep bowl. Whisk the dressing lightly with a fork or spoon to form a thick emulsion.
  10. Pour the dressing evenly over the salad.
  11. Greek shrimp salad is ready. This is an ideal appetizer for a festive table, because the salad looks very festive. Bright vegetables, snow-white feta, mouth-watering shrimps and olives create a bright ensemble of color and taste.
