Oatmeal with pumpkin

  1. After cutting a piece from a whole pumpkin, peeling it from the peel, cut it into small pieces. And we select 200 grams of pumpkin for porridge.
  2. 150 grams of oatmeal is the norm for 4 servings of medium viscosity porridge
  3. For convenience, you can use a glass measuring cup for liquids. In it, 150 grams of oatmeal just reaches the risk of 250 ml.
  4. Pour 200 ml of water into a pot with pieces of pumpkin, bring the contents of the pot to a boil and cook the pumpkin for 15-20 minutes, trying not to let the water boil away.
  5. I turn the softened pumpkin into a puree with an ordinary potato masher.
  6. Pour salt and sugar to taste, oatmeal into pumpkin puree, pour 300 ml of milk (1.5 cups). Mix everything thoroughly, bring to a boil and then cook the porridge over medium heat, stirring constantly with a spoon.
  7. 10 minutes is enough for semi-viscous porridge to cook.
  8. Put the finished hot oatmeal with pumpkin on a plate, if desired, add a piece of butter, sprinkle with cinnamon. Bon appetit!
