Shrimp with green peas

Shrimps are cooked in a skillet with young green peas and served with boiled rice.

Ingredients

  1. Boil the rice until cooked, according to the instructions on the package. Keep cooked rice warm.
  2. Dissolve the starch in a small bowl in 1 tablespoon of water, set aside.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, place the shrimp in a preheated skillet and fry for about 2 minutes. Add green peas, garlic, pepper and salt to the pan, cook shrimp and peas for about 1 minute. Remove the pan from the stove.
  4. In a small saucepan, mix the broth, sugar and fish sauce, put the saucepan on high heat, bring to a boil, gradually add the starch diluted in water. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 30 seconds, until the sauce thickens. Pour shrimp with peas with this mass. Put the pan on the stove again over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp with green peas for about 2 minutes, just to warm up the mass.
  5. Serve the shrimp with rice.
