Prepare the shrimp sauce. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Pour onions into a preheated pan and fry, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Add the chili paste to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 minute.
Place the chopped tomatoes in the pan, pour in the chicken broth and lime juice, cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Then add the shrimp and cook the shrimp with the sauce for another 3 minutes.
Place the peas and peas in a skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 minute.
Serve the shrimp with boiled rice sauce (optional).
