Tom-yum is a rather exotic Asian dish, a spicy and sour shrimp and chicken soup with coconut milk and spices. Soup is cooked in small quantities, "at one time." There are various variations of this dish, but the constant component is spicy tom-yam paste.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let's prepare the products for the Thai tom-yum soup.
  2. Wash the mushrooms, lemon and fillets. We have boiled shrimps. Clean the garlic cloves.
  3. Cook the chicken fillet right away.
  4. Let's make a spicy tom-yam paste. Cut the garlic into plates.
  5. Fry the garlic plates for just a few seconds. Let's put them in a separate container.
  6. Chop hot chili peppers.
  7. We will also fry them in a small amount of vegetable oil for a couple of minutes.
  8. Grate the lemon zest with the finest links. Grate and peeled ginger root.
  9. Put fried garlic plates in a saucepan with chili pepper, add lemon zest, add chopped ginger, pour lemon juice and sprinkle everything with sugar. We will simmer this mass for 3-5 minutes over low heat.
  10. Mix the contents of the saucepan thoroughly with an immersion blender. Tom Yam paste is ready.
  11. Cut the champignons into slices.
  12. In a small saucepan, bring 400 ml of chicken broth to a boil (in which we have already boiled chicken fillet by this moment) and add 400 ml of coconut milk to it. Add the cooked pasta tom yam. Bring the resulting mixture to a boil, cook for a couple of minutes. Then strain through a sieve to obtain a homogeneous structure. Add chopped mushrooms to the broth that we have filtered.
  13. Cut the chicken into small pieces and add to the soup, following the mushrooms.
  14. Add the shrimps right away. We cook the contents of the pan for another two or three minutes and our tom-yum soup is completely ready.
  15. Pour hot and sour soup on plates and start tasting. Bon Appetit!
